4Lyf Wellbeing helps you understand your own health information and prepare for conversations with your healthcare providers. It provides education and decision-support — plain-language summaries, explanations and general wellbeing suggestions to discuss with your doctor.
Your Discovery is generated by our analysis system to help you understand your own information. It is general information and an aid — not a medical opinion, diagnosis, or directive about you. You can download clear notes to take to your own doctor, who can verify them and work through them with you. It does not replace professional medical care.
It is not a medical diagnosis, prescription, or a substitute for professional medical care. Always follow your treating clinicians. In an emergency call 000 (Australia) or your local emergency number.
We collect the health documents and goals you choose to give us for a single purpose: to perform your Discovery — the review, interpretation and recommendations you have asked for.
This necessarily involves your information being analysed by our systems and reviewed by a qualified clinician — in the same way that seeking one or more professional opinions means those professionals read your file. That review is the service. There is no way to provide it without it.
Where AI analysis is used, your information is de-identified first — stripped of details that identify you — so the analysis is performed on de-identified content, and the result is re-associated to you only inside your own secured record.
No online service can promise perfect security, but we design so that a breach of the online platform yields encrypted data only.
You decide who (if anyone) can see your information and exactly which parts they can see — for example a high-level summary and costs for a family member. You can change or revoke any access at any time. We never share your information with anyone you have not authorised.
We handle personal and health information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Health information is sensitive information and is treated with the highest level of protection. You have rights to access and correct your information, and to complain to us and to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Overseas processing. To deliver your Discovery, some limited processing occurs outside Australia — for example, de-identified analysis by AI providers, and encrypted storage on overseas infrastructure. Your raw data is held in Australia. We remain accountable for how your information is handled and require any overseas recipient to protect it. By accepting these Terms you consent to this cross-border processing on these terms.
Data breaches. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the OAIC in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
By creating an account and ticking the acceptance boxes, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Data Promise, that the information you provide is your own (or you are authorised to provide it), and that you understand this service is education and decision-support, not medical advice. Your acceptance is recorded with the version and date.
To the extent permitted by law, 4Lyf Wellbeing is not liable for decisions made without consulting a qualified healthcare professional. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. (Liability wording to be finalised on legal review.)
You confirm the information you provide is your own, or that you are legally authorised to provide it (for example, on behalf of a family member in your care), and you agree to keep your login credentials secure.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction. This does not remove protections you may have under the law of your own country of residence.
